The collection contains a number of financial and personal records concerning Herman A. Wegner and his family. There are a number of financial ledgers, school handbooks, music sheets, piano books, newspaper clippings, numerous deeds and mortgages, and personal letters between Rose Wegner and her parents. Many of the school handbooks and music sheets belonged to Rose Wegner. To a certain extent, the documents are arranged in chronological order in each folder. Folders have been arranged by subject.

Consist of: letters to Rose from "Dad" and "Mom"; discussion of transferring to War Department and oversupply of ex-servicemen and their wives if war ends soon; review of past rent figures (1932-1935): inside toilet and sewer connections raised it from $15 to $16 per month, compares rent of 1935-1941, asks for increase to $20 per month-regarding house at 18th Ave. So.; expressions on death of grandfather (Christine's?); birthday present is lost in the mail, as Rose never received it; Henry receives induction papers for the war, yet he isn't worried, as he thinks the war will be over soon; discussion of rationing of one pound of sugar for one person once in two weeks; FDR signed a bill giving 10% raise to service employees, but cutting back on half day payment for work on Saturday; houses previously bought for $1100, now sold at $2500; application for Ration Book No. 3 received; Rose's father has somewhat negative views throughout on college education/night classes. He advises her "not to over do it when the jobs are plentiful." He also insists that she keep good health a priority; Henry (Hank) works as a property clerk earning $1500 a year, but it's always spent soon thereafter; buying bonds and getting pledges in St. Cloud for over one million dollars, and other topics discussed
