Biographical history
William Heuer was born in 1905 in Bertha, Minnesota. William Heuer married Selma Rosenberg and had eight children. Besides being a livestock farmer and bookkeeper, Heuer participated on many boards including the Town Board, School Board, PMA Board, and Co-op Board. Heuer was the Minnesota state Senator for District 54 from 1954 to 1966. Heuer died in 1975.

Scope and content
The Heuer Papers consist of constituent correspondence from 1957 to 1966 while serving as a Minnesota state senator. Also included here are correspondence and meeting minutes from the Todd County Committee for the Minesota Statehood Centennial, in which he served as chair.

The Heuer Papers were left in their original arrangement. The constituent correspondence are arranged chronologically from 1955 to 1966. Within these correspondences, they are arranged alphabetically.
